Radical Raptors is a wonderful bird of prey rehabilitation and awareness centre,
just near Plettenberg Bay along South Africa’s famous Garden Route.
They have raptor flying displays at 11:00, 13:00, and 15:00 where you can experience an interactive and exciting demonstration of the beauty and power of birds of prey.
The owl’s wings are so silent. It’s not surprising they can catch little rodents by surprise.
After catching a toy, they are given a piece of raw meat as a reward.
This vulture is absolutely enormous.
The wingspan can range from 1.96 to 2.25 m.
This guy still dances and cries like a baby bird asking for food.
Before and after the show you can look at a number of birds
in the process of being rehabilitated.
If you’re ever in the area, Radical Raptor’s is a definite must-see
for an engaging, interactive experience.
